Contemporary New Zealand Artist

Tarnos is a contemporary New Zealand artist currently based in Auckland. He works with raw earth pigments using a complex chemical process to achieve his dramatic and bold style.

His works are carefully sourced pigments which are infused in resin, then applied on chrome plated aluminum surfaces which exhibit striking beauty and artistic intelligence.

His most recent collection ‘Visual Voyager’ was inspired by the layering process fashioned by ancient Japanese Kimono artists. The artworks energetically capture light and mirror colours which provoke thought, emotion and infinite connections with it’s presence.

The scale and grandeur of these works dictates towards clean, modern architecture whilst transforming space dramatically.
